Obituary of Nettie Funk

On Sunday, April 7, 2024, at 12:09 a.m., Nettie Funk, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, heard her Savior say, “Well done my good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of your reward.”

She is survived by two daughters Yvonne (Cliff) Inscho, Melinda (Dan) Scheper; one daughter-in-law Karen (Russ); three sons Ed (Lorna), Mel (Brenda), Barry (Cherie); grandchildren, Jody, Troy (Kendra), Jocelyn (Dave), Janelle (Greg), Shane (Mandy), Donnie (Amanda), Dean (Sara), Deanza (Daniel), Kameika, Tass (Jenni), Chereé (Lonny), Donavon (Kristy), Cole, Skylar; great-grandchildren Dawson, Hailey, Avri, Makayla, Gabrielle, Josée, Alexis, Mikkel, Kelaiah, Elli, Joseph, Jaleel, Mia, Brooke, Nicholas, Mercedez, Jayden, Ethan, Seth, Daxton, Huxley, London, Kasia, Merrek, Nevaeh, Zenadia, Kiara (Ryan), Rebecca, Selah, Scarlett, Tucker, Masyn, Leah; as well as brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Peter D. Funk, on December 5, 2013; son Timothy on August 7, 2004, granddaughter Jodi Lyn Ginter on May 13, 2022, and great-granddaughter Sierra Funk on January 21, 2008.

We will miss you dearly, but until then our hearts will go on singing…

The come and go viewing will take place on Sunday, April 14, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB.

The celebration of life is being held on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Southland Church, Steinbach, MB.

A private burial will take place prior to the celebration of life.
